Creating our live events is all about bringing people together in a welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment guests arrive, Rebekah and I are there to serve drinks and welcome everyone personally. It's our way of breaking the ice, especially for those who might feel a bit out of place or are naturally introverted.
For about 45 minutes, everyone enjoys dinner, which includes bannock, fresh vegetable platters with homemade dips, pizza, and a variety of drinks—everything from soda and whisky to apple cider, wine, beer, and even spiked soda.
It's important to us that guests don't have to worry about extra costs, so all food and drinks are included in the ticket price.
These events are more than just a gathering; they're an opportunity to pause our busy lives, catch up with friends, share stories, and make new connections in a relaxed and friendly setting. It's truly special to see everyone come together, share laughs, and enjoy a great evening.
Crafting the podcast is a true labor of love, involving everything from guest outreach and studio bookings to deep-dive research and social media engagement. It's a journey I cherish deeply! Each guest brings a wealth of knowledge, sparking growth and new perspectives with every episode.
While pre-recorded episodes have their charm, they lack immediate listener feedback, something I greatly value. Live events fill this gap beautifully, offering real-time reactions and insights. They allow me to gauge what resonates most with the audience, guiding future content based on their live questions and feedback.
These live gatherings are not just events; they're a learning ground for me. They're an opportunity to refine my skills as an interviewer and host, drawing directly from the audience's experiences, preferences, and suggestions. It's a dynamic way to connect, learn, and evolve together.
This episode was special for me, bringing back Dr. Chris Bertram and Counsellor Kylie Bartel, who's been with us twice before. Kylie first caught our listeners attention when we spoke about coping with financial stress. This time, she shared her wisdom on different therapy types and how to maintain mental health.
Dr. Chris Bertram shared his passion for psychology, discussing flow states, lessons from elite performers, how to build grit, and tapping into your full potential.
Behind the scenes, Tim McAlpine was the magic maker, ensuring we produced a top-notch video-podcast. Alex Harte captured moments we'll always treasure, while Rebekah made sure everyone enjoyed the recording with delicious treats and a stunning balloon arch.
