Last year, we successfully booked one out of five guests from my 2023 dream list, with Ariel Helwani being the notable guest we hosted. While this outcome isn't bad, my aim is to improve on this in the coming year. I did reach out to all my dream guests, receiving a mix of no responses and "try again later" replies. However, I remain committed to inviting both past dream guests and those on this year's list.
Remember, I don't just have dreams; I have goals. Here's my dream guest list for 2024:
1. Chris Williamson
Chris Williamson reigns supreme in the realm of long-form interviews for several reasons.
Firstly, he secures high-profile guests like Jocko Willink, David Goggins, Jordan Peterson, Patrick Bet-David, Andrew Huberman, Sam Harris, and Konstantin Kisin, to name a few. His ability to attract such notable figures speaks volumes about his reach and reputation. He is ranked number 56 on Spotify Charts.
Secondly, Chris's interviewing skills are exemplary. He dedicates time to crafting high-quality questions and excels at delivering insightful follow-ups. His thorough research, calm demeanor, and inquisitive nature ensure that each interview is both engaging and informative. The effort and attention he devotes to each guest are genuinely impressive.
Thirdly, the production quality of his interviews is unmatched. Chris records in 4K, which not only demands significant storage space but also reflects his commitment to delivering a superior viewing experience. He and his team are constantly scouting new locations for recording, meticulously planning to capture the best angles and audio quality. In a brief video, Chris revealed that he could invest between $20,000 to $30,000 for just a three-hour recording session. This dedication to quality sets him apart in the world of podcasting and digital media.
I’d love to ask Chris Williamson about what it means to him to speak with some of the most important voices in our culture, and how he feels after an interview, what some of his big takeaways are, the investment he makes into the show and some of his dream guests.
