As we step into the new year, it's the perfect time for reflection. 2024 was by far the biggest year for the show, and the numbers tell the story. We climbed into the top 25% of podcasts, released 46 episodes, and reached listeners in 62 countries. On YouTube alone, we had nearly 413,831 views.
This year saw some exciting milestones, including hosting another Taste of Abby Series with interviews featuring Mama Maan and Loren Taves. These episodes highlighted the rich agricultural heritage of the Fraser Valley and the personal journeys of these incredible individuals.
We also launched our BC Political Series, interviewing provincial leaders Sonia Furstenau, John Rustad, Kevin Falcon, and Premier David Eby. This series was groundbreaking for several reasons. First, having a sitting provincial premier in-studio was a huge milestone. Second, it allowed us to contribute to the democratic process by asking leaders tough questions during an election year. Lastly, it demonstrated that podcasts and new media are increasingly recognized as essential platforms for political engagement—a trend I believe will only grow, as discussed in my article for The Hub.
As we gear up for 2025, here’s a look back at the top 5 episodes of 2024 that truly made an impact:
